Glossary
Autonomous system number (ASN)
The identifier of a network operator on the internet, such as a carrier, an ISP or a hosting company.
Sites and reputation databases often reason about addresses by ASN. It is why a block can cover a whole hosting provider and why ASN filters appear in targeting options.
